    I know, I know...

...we already have enough midfielders, but I want at least one Selwood
    on our list, damnit!

It's a shame Adam is still in contract with Wet Toast. Would have certainly been a scoop had we been able to get him also.

Oh, just let me dream. It is the offseason.

Interesting - Didn't know much about them, Adam Selwood is 189cm, handy for a midfielder. I thought WC used him as a tagger, but the Eagles site says he got 26 possessions in a run-with role in the PF. Troy is 2cm shorter and 7kgs lighter. Both would appear to satisfy the Barham rule, but they're from Bendigo - go-home factor not going to help us there. Wouldn't say we really need either of them, or that they'd add much to the team.

If we want a Selwood I think there's still two to come

Though Joel is tipped to be a very early pick (next year from memory) so we would need a pretty big tumble down the ladder to nab him.

I know we don't need them, and I couldn't possibly bump one or two of our 22 for either of them, but damnit, I want them to play for us!

I have been keeping an eye on Joel's progress in the TAC Cup this year. I believe he'll be a much better footballer than both Troy and Adam. Mum didn't want him to go in this year's draft as she thought he was too young. I will admit I was of the same opinion. Another year maturing and learning the game and he will be in the top three (and unlikely ours, TEAR!).

I agree that it's not logical in the slightest, but this is the offseason. It's a perfect opportunity to let my hair down (well, I did end up cutting most of it off, so I'm not speaking literally here) and let myself start thinking emotionally. I have been measured and calculated just like Roosy for months now for fear of being denied serious silverware.

So in my perfect world, they would be playing in the red and the white of Sydney. But I will take my deluded @rse elsewhere...
it will probably be to a place where Jamie Charman or Jared Waite are competing to be our new ruckman.
