    Does anybody know if.....?

    I remember reading an article earlier this year...maybe mid-season, about a Swans fan who was very ill, and for whom it had been arranged to spend time in the coaches box.

    What started as a one-off visit to Roosey World became a regular event...I think

    Does anyone know whether that guy made it to the Grand Final? I really hope so....and I hope he is still basking in the success.



    P.S. If the unthinkable has happened, I hope my raising of this question doesnt bring anyone any grief

          Yes he was in the box on the GF day according to one of the Vic papers.

                  During the telecast (early on) they crossed to an interview with a Swans fan who had been granted access to the coach's box and rooms as he had a terminal illness.

                  I presume this is the same guy. Poor fella, but he would have had the experience of a lifetime!
                  That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
                  No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

                      I saw an interview with him and he was very grateful to Roos and the team. They have set up a fund for his rare type of cancer. There's also a woman in her 30s with terminal breast cancer that the Swans have been looking after this season, too.

                      Great to know that the team does this sort of stuff. It seems to be part of the Colless "we are all family" philosophy.

                          did anyone hear about what happened to the fan who was in that fight outside the pub in richmond..how he is faring? very sad story there.
