The only thing I like is that nobody (?) rates us, not even for next year as a TEAM ... we like being the underdog, being under the radar ... It may just come back to bite the best of the rest !!!
swans got lucky this season, plain & simple. our squads in 96 & 98 were far more talented, but under performed. st kilda, adelaide & west coast should back at 2005 as the flag that got away. all of those sides were hit by injury & can even claim poor umpiring at important stages of matches cost them dearly. had matera played in the gf or hammil 4 st kilda who nos?? should the top teams play 2 their potential in 2006, making the top 8 wood b a good showing from the swans.

        Aceman,

I presume that English is not your first language. But let me give you a tip. It's all about communication. And I, like others, have stopped reading what you write because it's too much hard work. You seem to be doing your best to be offensive but it's all a bit of a waste if no-one read you. Right now your gibberish is just a block of black on my screen.

Also, just to put this in an historical context, the last person who posted here as a stirrer was also illiterate. That's not helping your cause.

And no - it's not what you are saying that is the main cause of annoyance. It's the idea that you might be trying to say something but can't. It's kinda like trying to talk to a guy in a loud bar who has a cleft pallet (sp?). The people here who write in English often have raging arguments (cheers Nick) but do it with some coherence.

I think the first language is SMS.

Aceman, please spell out all words properly ("b" -> "be", "4" -> "for", "&"-> "and"), and capitalise at the start of sentences, proper nouns and the like. Posting monocase SMS-style messages isn't cute, it's annoying.

As to your points, we DID get lucky, as I have mentioned elsewhere. We had few injuries in the latter part of the season, we avoided our bogey team Adelaide in the finals, we met St Kilda when they were vulnerable and we met the Eagles away from their comfort zone of Subiaco.

Yet we also made our own luck. We finished in the top four. That's not good luck, that's good form. Our three losses since round 10 were by a combined total of 12 points. That's not good luck, that's good form. We had 22 players playing as coached, executing set plays and the like. That's not good luck, that's good coaching.

i've indicated that i'm not willing 2 change my riting style simply 2 benefit lazy ppl who won?t make the effort 2 read what i've written. it's fair 2 say i possess a greater knowledge of the swans & afl than anybody on this board, so reading my posts is well worth the effort.
interesting that u had no problem "interpreting" most of my messages in the chambers thread, only 2 encounter difficultly once ur lack of knowledge regarding the state of rucking 4 the swans & feeble argument was exposed. claims that my messages r incomprehensible after responding 2 many is silly & come across as a cover for lack of knowledge.

As for the issue of luck, I agree in part, but I would also hasten to add one word and three names: sprinklers, McInerney, McLaren and Goldspink.

Yeah, aceman's comments about Adelaide, St Kilda & West Coast suffering from bad umpiring was one of the silliest I've read on these boards - and that's saying something!

Translation: I'm too lazy to type so I expect everyone else to do the work.

And from the few facts I've managed to gleen from these posts, I doubt that you have any more knowledge of the Swans than anyone else who started following the team when the Telegraph finally started giving them significant coverage mid season 2005. (Goodes to be our senior ruckman in 2006 is one clue.)

Several of us have indicated quite plainly that you must. Think of your future. If you spend all your time ignoring and flouting the rules of proper English spelling and punctuation, you will not be able to apply those rules when it is vitally important to communicate clearly through your writing. No prospective employer would like you to call them "lazy".

Because you do not heed other people, I don't see why I must heed you.
