Hawthorn are obviously determined to do a Saint Kilda - that's a staggering number of early draft picks.

Hawthorn can nearly pick an entire new squad!

Winning a premiership without bottoming out is far more satisfying
I hope against all hope that St Kilda's cynical and negative tactics don't reap the ultimate prize.
Hopefully the football gods continue to punish St Kilda.

And unless they improve the club culture (as opposed to the Culture Club), what's the bet that half of the kids they pick up won't be there in 4 years' time?

                        Carlton gets me.

They have squealed for years now because they were penalised draft picks for breaching the rules which prevented them from drafting youth.

They have only 4 draft picks! 2 in the top 10. I would have thought maximum picks would be the only thing to satisfy their supporters.

So they pick up a lightweight half back from us.

May well they stay at the bottom of the heap for yonks. 5 years they said on the back of recruiting youth before they get back into contention. Could be 10 or more.

                        Gee that makes me sad.

Good value at 52 if this draft is as bad as everyone says it is. I think they got him cheap.

Is this another example of being "on track for 2008"?

Adelaide, West Coast and Geelong are the only teams that I imagine might do it. Brisbane, Fremantle, the Kangaroos, Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Richmond, St Kilda and the Bulldogs can't. I would expect Carlton (4), Collingwood (5), Hawthorn (6) and Essendon (4) to use all of their picks before us.
