I would never consider rewatching a match where those oxygen bandits beat us.

Just saw the replay of the last quarter of the Dawks vs Swans QF at the SCG in 96.

I seriously can't believe how unprofessional and biased Don Scott's commentry was. He wasn't commenting at all, just barracking for his beloved dawks and if i was a Swans supporter listening to that live i would of filled the swtich board with complaints to remove the mic from the moron.

At least he didn't have a **** about those strapping young men with their bulging muscles and tight, tight jumpers etc. like he did most games. Probably got it out of his system in the first quarter.

I watched that Hawks game last night too. Cressa's mark is just as good as I remember it.

I love watching old games and seeing players play that are lurking somewhere in my memory.

I noticed a distinct lack of red and white in the crowd though, those members hats were a stroke of genius by the Swannies.

Don't know if we started the trend, but unfortunately most clubs have them now

is there a worse commentator than Don Scott! Although I hate to say it but Gerard Healy always seems to stick the knife in when the chips are down.... Has anyone else noticed that?

Just started on Fox Footy right now.

The match that turned our PREMIERSHIP season around.
Sydney v Essendon, round 7, at Stadium Australia.

Nick Davis' hamstring is already gone and Adam Goodes has the first goal.
                  Two minutes gone only.

Classic quarter against Port Adelaide in '98 was on earlier. It was the 3rd quarter they had on. Lockett managed to kick 6 in the qtr and take the game away from the power.

Great comeback against the essenscumb. Loved how excited Moore was when he got the first goal of the last quarter.

And how right (and freaky) was Kirk's interview at the end of the match saying that this is the start of something big for us?

A fun match to watch with the "weak dog" incident but Blight was a knob pretty much the whole game.

I'm looking forward to our game agst the Bummers just to see Johnson match up on Amon

Only sorry Blighty didn't repeat his "woops woops woops" over that little passage of play with LRT. I was LMAO - thought LRT was going to have to go the Oxygen mask!

That was a better match than I remember it perhaps coz I was sick of too-tight Swans games already (God, if i knew what was yet to come...). But a good quality match - Bombers were impressive for a young side & our boys showed some real spirit to come back.

Vogels was impressive & the LRT "triple clanger rebound" was a true highlight. And then of course there is the Johnson weak dog double take - oh my I laffed...

Nothing wrong with what Gerard Healy has to say.

Deep down he wants nothing more than total success for the club and as a ex player, team of the century member and Sydney brownlow medalist he is well within his rights to offer opinions on how we are travelling as a club.

He routinely sticks up for the club on Fox Footy and on Melbourne radio in his capacity as presenter of sports tonight 4 nights a week on 3AW.

Self assessment from within and respected peers is a good thing not something to run away from.
