Davis vows to get better still

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I'm starting to get that looking forward to next year feeling that I used to get a lot earier in the year in past seasons.

Hope he stays off the KFC, keeps his head together, chooses his friends wisely, greets all supporters with open arms, promises to never let the f word slip on TV, turns Buddhist and realises there's no room for individuals.

Then it wont matter how well he plays (actually these are probably all terms in his 'performance based' contract. I believe he is at the airport now, kicking off his pre-season).

          Cheeky monkey.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

He's probably the most obvious person on the list in terms of putting on a performance-based contract.

..never seen a player put so much effort in to signing stuff post GF - he signed my jumper. I would have thought he would have signed a 1000 the way he was going.

Hopefully he is maturing. He's definately shown he's a matchwinner on his day. As he showed in the GF he tries hard when it's not going well for him.

                Signs are good

It's great to hear him sound so driven and commited. I was really worried that he might take a backwards step after the premiership but it doesn't sound like it. Hopefully he can become a real force in the midfield next year if he improves his fitness even further.

                    Yeah...bet when he performs

Seriously, this year, on occasions, he showed the form that we all know that he is capable of, and isn't that awesome to watch.

Davis could be a cousins-like midfielder if he had the fitness.

We'd be quite a team if that ever got of the ground.

I think that's what Roos wants. He's said on occasions that the only thing that's held him back is his lack of fitness but noticed how much more effective he can be when he was able to play with greater intensity for longer. Scott Cummings said during the finals on White line fever that if Davis could get super fit and get the ball and use it like he does he would be an incredible footballer.

From a post on BigFooty, it looks like Nicky D (along with Amon and Pebbles) is playing Ireland. That should give him some fitness and speed.

Yes, it should keep Nicky D away from the KFC.

That's alright Nicky D, i'll have some Zinger burgers for you.
