    Matty Nicks Farewell article

    Here is a nice article on Matty Nicks and has his speech that he gave at the B&F this year.

    I got a bit teary reading the speech. It really displays how much the club meant to him. He will be missed.

      He would make a fantastic runner for the team next year (not that this years did anything worng!). All the best Nicksy!!

          I imagine (or hasn't he already confirmed he is?) he will be chasing a media job and find it difficult to chase the two.
          I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
          We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

              No, he's going into stockbroking as his main job. He also has a jet hire business with Heath James - didn't they get Baz to the tribunal? So could do media or runner at weekends.

                      My next door neighbour used to play footy with him at school. Said he was a great guy and they always knew he would make the AFL,

                      Good luck Nicksy, hope you have better luck with your future than you did in the last year or so of your playing career

                          Played some great games over the years. Loved the job he did on Phil Matera last year - was it in the final? Absolutely carved him up.
