Gday all,

Just reading that a group from the Bomber blitz played Hawks HQ in a social game of AFL (read below). Anyone interested in participating in an inter RWO footy game? Probably hold it in the new year.

This afternoon at Glenferrie, Bomberblitz and HawksHQ met in a much anticipated social match.

And for a while, it looked like a spirited contest.

But, in classic Hawthorn style, they more or less didn't turn up after half-time, and were thumped to the tune of 74 points.

Hey! I just had my ankle x-rayed! Torn ligament.. But, at least I'm not 42. Or it'd take ages to heal.

Last year I tried to make a comeback at 42 with a local team. Ended up in A&E of the local hospital on Good Friday having my ankle x-rayed. End of comeback...but I'm interested in considering it.

I did play in the SM cheer squad match against Carlton cheersquad in about 1979but 26 years later and probably that many kilos more could be difficult. I could always impersonate Mick Nolan - "the galloping gasometer"

Being off season, most if not all AFL posts around Sydney town have disappeared but I will re pop this thread back up early in the new year, perhaps looking for a game in March sometime.
