I all the euphoria of winning an AFL flag, I had forgotten that we had already won a premiership in 2005.

72 years with none, and two in one year.

Is that being a tad greedy??

Realistically there could be a let down next year. I think our flag has a few parallels with the Port flag.

Port had to win one, get the monkey off the back, to get some cred in the big league, and to start the catchup to the crows.

Sydney had to win one. 72 (or 23) years of build up, get the monkey off the back, get some cred, and to catch up to the other northern expansion club; Brisbane.

Our recruiting hasnt immediately solved the Ball problem, and our depth is lowered due to players like Schuable retiring. On paper we have a slightly weaker list that 2005.

But I think by 2007 or 2008 we will snatch another flag. A mediocre 2006 will put the fire back in the belly.

Although, this team has amazing spirit similar to Brisbane, so we could be on the first leg of the 3-peat.

Glad you said "tattoo" parlour.

After watching the game DVD for the first time on the w/e. I was disappointed with Leo's final mark. He should of just taken off, running in circles, too and fro, for the few seconds that were left in the game, then when then siren went he could of run rings around his team mates as they tried to jump on him.

(Did you read where he said Tadhg is a good humper???)

Not only would it put the fire back in the belly, but it would land us a few nice players in the 'super draft'.
Preferably i want to go back to back though.

but as always, plenty will depend on injuries

I absolutely agree that people who missed the Reserves final because they were getting a Swans tattoo are the REAL FANS and also TRUE BELIEVERS.
