In terms of a youngster who might make a real impact, I'm looking forward to Dempster's development.

Can he transition from a largely tagging, bit-part role to become a core part of the backline and consistently add to the rebound from the Swans' defensive line?

Will they be grooming him as a potential Kennelly replacement?

            Malceski.

I spoke to a player who played on him this year in ACT League. He said he was incredible. Quality player with a penetrating kick. I think he is an exciting prospect for our club. Other youngsters could step up. We have some good youngsters who should compete among each other for senior spopts in the near future. Young players seem to develop under Roosy so our depth should hopefully increase in case we don't have such a good injury run in 2006. Go the young bloods.

              Not that young but, DOYLE.

He will be very important for us next year.

Huge talent, great tap work, good strong mark/kick when he goes forward.

Also, people forget how important Ball has been to us since his transition to the ruck, he will leave a huge hole in the side.

Moore - love child for 2006.
And Malceski - everyone raves about him and I've never seen him play.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Moore will be a gun - tough, smart , ball magnet and skilled

Malceski has some attributes that remind me of some of our lefties

Agree. Bulldog could cement a spot in the 22 this year. Despite not having great Draft picks there is some promising talent coming through. Willoughby is another one Im hoping will make his debut this year.

Schmidt, Willoughby, Chambers and Richards should all debut this year.

Leaves MDavis, Erikson and the Rookies as undebuted.

I want to see what all the hype about Little Willo is. Malkeski, McVeigh and Moore should all have good seasons I would hope.

From what I have seen in the Ressies he is very skillful player and seems to read the play very well. If he can stay injury free Im expecting big things.

What about our best performer in the 2's,Tim Schmidt? The problem with our list at the moment is that a lot of these young guys will be relying on injuries to get their chance. We had a good run in 2005 and hopefully it will continue into 2006 but it's good to know that there are good players ready to come in.

It's got to be frustrating for them though doesn't it?

How long will some of these guys hang around if they can't get a game due to lack of injuries? I'm not saying that they are ungrateful to the club or anything, but as an elite athlete, they only have a certain amount of time in which to make their mark.
