    Winning ugly

There has been a lot of comment about the game style leading to a low score in the Grand Final, or as Charlie would say, our Premiership game.

I'm surprised that I have seen virtually no comment on the goal kicking yips suffered by both sides.

The scores 8.10 to 7.12 reflect a reasonable number of scoring shots, and not that many were rushed. If it had been 13.5.83 to 12.7.79, same scoring shots, same margin, same result, but little comment on low-scoring ugly footy I suspect.

It would be called a great, tough game. Full stop.

I guess it depends on what you call ugly football doesn't it. Yes we won, so I don't care what the style of play was, but I have seen plenty of far more "ugly" games before this year.

The truth of the matter IMO is that Roos has coached the team to always play the game at the tempo they want to and not let the other team dictate their terms.

Winning ugly...that's a matter of opinion
