    Llane Spandermann

Noticed in the Herald Sun today that Llane Spandermann was delisted by the Lions, which seems surprising.

Played pretty well against us at Telstra Stadium and was only on the list for a couple of years.

Looks like he had some minor attitude problems according to lions fans and didn't get along with many of his team mates. Having said that i think he has an upside to his game as he is a big boy with some talent. Worth a late 4th rounder, that is of course one of the WA teams pick him up first.

    He will be picked up.

Sounds like he may not fit the "no dikheads" criteria.

Though perhaps he was a non-d !ckhead in a team of d !ckheads?

That could be true - I've heard that Brennan has had trouble getting on with his team mates as well. They are probably a difficult bunch to get along with - the core of the side is 26+, rather self confident and triple premiership winners. Might be tough for the youngsters to "fit in".

Anyway, don't think he'll be available by the time we get a pick.

Brings back some memories when I played for Nth Shore u18. I played on Mark McVeigh when he was with Pennant Hills and a couple of years younger. I remember kicking the first goal on him and thought this was going along well and then POW, 30+ possies and few McVeigh goals later I was dragged to the bench and for an early shower... . I can smile about it now but back then I was not impressed being wolloped by a younger kid!!

Sounds as though that may just be the same issues Troy Selwood had with them too. But that is simply speculation. It's the vibe again.

We need to pick Troy Selwood, then Llane.
Btw, Llane has the coolest name in footy.

I think Troy Selwood would be re-signed by the Lions.

I really thing we should give Llane a chance as he seems like he has potential.
He could also be a ruckman, although he seems a bit short.

I don't believe he is staying in Brisbane. He's moving south. The relationship has run its course, and it's time to move on. But not to Adelaide. I respect him: the boy has standards.

The other 2 that Brisbane delisted would be better suited to our needs than Spaanderman.
Tom Logan is a tough as nails midfielder and Leigh Ryswyk is a pacy and skillful outside midfielder and both can run.

I think we have enough midfielders, with some promising youngins coming through.
I think we need to focus on our rucks and defenders this year and then at the end of next year start looking at our forward line, then midfielders at the year after that.
