seymour - he cant play his hard nut defender role anymore because of his injuries and loss of fitness... therefore he is now apparently a forward, we dont need another forward and would be taking up a young fellas chance of getting a game... dont get me wrong, id love to see warfe, seymour and frosty play champion football, but theyre no longer capable, IMO...

the difference between warfe and barry is that he creates drive off half back, where warfe does not, warfe creates pressure on our players on half back... barry does give me the "heart in mouth" syndrome but at least he often creates something while shadow dancing where warfe will just give up and lose his feet and get drilled!

just because a player played in "our very best sides" doesnt warrant further time on the list; if they arent offering anything now... this is where the irony comes in when you are defending warfe and bagging leo is that sure leo could be stated as a "jonny-come-lately" (form wise) but he is playing (well, i might add) in our current good side where warfe played a couple of good games 5 years ago and hasnt really done anything since... i know this is where people will say "what about the injuries?" all i have to say is what about kel's injuries??? kel was constantly injured and when he came back (usually, still underdone) he'd offer something to the side... there is a huge difference there between talent but the principle still stays the same!

and i just dont understand where u get off on bagging crouch at all!!!

who would u delist to free up some spots??? 27-28 year old hasbeens or potential talent... we need spots on the list to recruit players...

Yes they are when you also make so much play.

Haven't got his stats handy but they were pretty impressive and he was on most journos "best" lists so that pretty much answers your query.

we've got one retiree in cressa, which leaves two spots on the senior list... they will need more than two draft picks if they plan to rebuild

therefore warfe, mcpherson and seymour should get delisted, leaving 5 spots

we have quite a few spots on the rookie list do we not??? we will finally know if o'mahoney will want to play footy as well
Penga, agree with what your saying adding only that wharfe is undercontract for another two years (I thought) some one said one either way we would have to pay him out or trade him which I doubt anyone would take. So we maybe stuck with him for another year atleast I don't think the club can afford to throw away money at the moment.

i agree that the money cant be thrown away, but the difference is paying him to play reserves for a season and taking up a spot on the senior list or delist him, pay him, and have an extra spot... id take the extra spot... in the end itll be the same amount of money anyway...

He turns the ball over more than anyone I've ever seen, he always runs on to the right side of his body, and he is a left footer, as he hasn't got a right foot, he just gets himself into trouble.
People talk about "nous", he has none of it.
The subject of this thread is "Warfe". If you want to start a discussion about Leo open up an new 'subject'. Don't throw in a red herring.

I have a view about Leo but I am not going sidetrack and mention it here and now.

there has been a rumour at the club that Brad Seymour is considering retirement, too many injuries.
But Rowan has said he isn't considering an early retirement. Though why would he be, he is still playing good football.
He had a great game when he was on yesterday.

                Yeah i agree with you.

He was pretty good yesterday, and I do not care what anyone says.

How about all those critics, recognise that he played a fair game yesterday.
