    End of Season Operations

Does anyone have any information on players that have gone under the knife for some post-season "tune-up"?

I have checked the Swans website but they have not had a detailed injury update since round 17.

Given the revelation that several players played under duress (with the help of the occasional jab) over the final months of a very long and rewarding season, it will be interesting as to what impact injuries may have on their pre-season and the beginning of the 2006 flag defence.

    Cheers

I had a drink with Hally this week who was just back from Melbourne. No mention of ops.

I was told at NS Private that a Matthew Ryan - or some name like that - had had a foot operation the week after the Grand Final. I asked who he played for and the nurse at the desk said "he's got it wrong - it was Ben Mathews and what a nice guy he turned out to be. And he was still on a high from the win. We started talking footy and we couldn't shut him up."

Hope Ben also had a minor brain op at the same time to improve decision making.

I'll comment on my own thread

In the following article on the Sydney website:

              http://sydneyswans.com.au/default.as...ticleid=236168 ,

Dr Nathan Gibbs is quoted as saying:

"We didn't have that many soft tissue injuries which was great and that was reflected in the few operations required in the post-season," Gibbs told sydneyswans.com.au."

Still does not give any details of who, what operations or implications for next years pre-season.

              Cheers

If it's successful suggest we enrol J Bolton, C Bolton, A Buchanan, A Schnieder and LRT.

Could be worse. I understand the entire Saint Kilda side except Robert Harvey is getting a heart transplant over the summer.

Transplant? Don't you have to have a heart first to get one transplanted??

I'd say they are all (minus harvey of course) are getting implants...
