    Reserves still on this Sunday

Spoke to the Swan's switch today (Thursday) and at this stage the reserves game is still on at the SCG on Sunday.

The switchboard person said that "more likely than not" the game will still be on. The new surface at the SCG should withstand a fair bit of water and showers are meant to be clearing Saturday arvo.

Apparently Randwick is getting a significant dumping - leading to local flooding this afternoon so if anyone else hears otherwise, your information appreciated.

    What time is kick off?
    - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

As at 3:15pm this afternoon (Friday 16th) the reserves game is definately still on at 11 am.

The AFL and SCG Trust will conduct an inspection of the ground at 7 am on Sunday morning. Unfortunately the matter is out of the Club's hands and they are frustrated that they can't relay that information on to members.

The good news is that the Swans switch operater told me that the boys had just trained on the SCG this afternoon and that the ground was in an "excellent" condition.

If the rain stops tomorrow, then I'm guessing from todays report on the ground that the reserves game will be on.
