Let's hope he is a successful Geelong recruitment unlike mr David Spriggs.

I love it when I read that someone is joining "the reigning Premiers Sydney"

        I agree, it sounds great.

Let's hope 'Chambo' makes a go of it.

Spriggs has been with us for a year only, I think he deserves judgement on whether he has been a success at the end of the 2006 season.

If he has not cemented a regular spot by then, then he will be cut from the list.

Should he regain the form he displayed in his early career then he would certainly be maintained on the list and be in the best 22.

            Interesting

At Geelong with (skipper) Steven King there and with Mark Blake coming through I was always going to be the number two or number three ruckman."
How does he think he'll go on a list with 6 ruckman, with Jolly presumably first picked followed by Doyle when fit. I guess he is hoping for Doyle to stay injured.

At Geelong I was often on the field for only 10 minutes at a time and it's hard to get your confidence up that way but they tend to do things differently in Sydney and share it (the ruckwork) around more between two players
Dolly was the most benched player in 2005. I would think an intense 10-minute stint on the ground rotating with Ball was not atypical for Jolly last year.

Recruiting Paul Chambers still perplexes me. I have a feeling the recruiting staff have him in mind for a different role.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Welcome aboard Chambo. As Benny Hill would have said, rots of ruck!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
