Yep - peaking is not just luck. Same as Adelaide, I think careful management helps produce this.
Worth remembering too that in the Lions' first premiership season they were only so-so for the first half of the year, before coming with a rush in the second half. Indeed, it was only really in the middle of their their three premiership years that they were dominant for the whole season, and even then they didn't finish top at the end of the H&A.
