    Ben Fixter to the Brions.

    Best wishes to Bad-Luck Benny.

No ill-feeling - if he could get his body right he could be useful for them.

If he keeps his body sound, he will bite us. Time was right, to let him go though.

Agree with the rest of it, but he won't bite us. He'll play brilliantly for the other 20 games a year, but when we play 'em, Crouchy will look after him before turning his attentions to Aker.

And in other ex-Sydneysider news, Jarrad Sundqvist has returned to Glenelg (SANFL), and the talented but injury-plagued Josh Thewlis has signed with South Adelaide... the home of that other talented but injury-plagued ex-player (now FM radio breakfast host), Ryan Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald's breakfast co-host? Dale Lewis. What the hey: let's just pick up the whole city, shake it over the River Torrens, and see who falls out.

And what the hell is happening to our stocks of Jarrod/Jarrad/Jaryds? Eight goddamn rookie picks, and not one picked up!

I checked - there weren't any Jareds (or versions thereof) selected at all (although I'm unaware of the full list of rookies).

Good luck to Fixter. It's a shame the Lions couldn't have Fixter and Spaanderman on their list at the same time. That pair sound like the hero and villain from a comic strip.

            Good luck to Ben !!

Mark my words this is going to hurt at some stage!

He is a good player with no luck with injuries with us. I feel that the swans had to make a decision and this was the right time to make a "let him go" call.

Just a gut feeling, "Its a going to hurt moment" (Like the way Shannon Grant lifts and the way Rocca play well against us..... on the flop side and the way Nick Davis goes against the Magpies.... He he..)

            You've been warned

Wait a minute. I just discovered that Scooter McGlone is playing for South Adelaide as well. Some kind of conspiracy must be going on-- maybe Barham is on their payroll. 'Look, you draft 'em, build 'em up to a decent, but not quite AFL, standard, and we'll nab 'em after delisting. We'll make it worth your while, mate.'

Seeing they've just signed Damien 'hard working' Cupido, you can imagine how thick & fast the salary cap breach allegations are flying! (And yes, there is a salary cap in the SANFL-- I think it's about 5% of the AFL's!)

He had 2 possessions that game!

He played 3 games in 3 years, so hardly much incentive to keep him.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Ben "the package" Neagle from Box Hill premiership team also plays for South Adelaide. Cupido played with "the package" at the Eastern Ranges so Ben might be able to get onto his head about application.

Then again might have a few beers with him too.

He was in the right places, used the ball well, good pressure.

So we kept him while had injuries and let him go when he *should* be coming into his prime and *should* be injury free.

Limited game time though. The bloke can genuinely play, don't worry about that.

Do you have stats from when he was uninjured and getting substantial game time in 02?

Never said he couldn't play - was simply commenting on that particular game - he wouldn't have been great in it.
