Richards a big plus for Swans

THE Sydney Swans have flagged their intention to squeeze ex-Bomber Ted Richards into their multi-pronged forward line, possibly freeing up Nick Davis and Ryan O'Keefe for more time on-ball.

"the club has said I will be required to also play at both ends," Richards said.
    Could be ugly.
"The one thing I have noticed is that the players here seem to be a lot tighter" Richards said.

Wouldn't mind ROK and Superted on HFF while Nicky D rips it up in the middle.

At the time of drafting I think we were all hearing how he was going to be able to fill a Schauble sized hole in the defence Yes, I know Leos's lovely, but he could do with some help against the monsters. all of a sudden we're "flagging our intention" to play him up forward.

      Is this
      A) Swans misinformation?
      B) SuperTed's wishes?
      or
      C) Who cares.

Nicky Davis rotating on-ball: yes please, provided he's fit enough that he 'rests' in the forward line and not on the bench. ROK on-ball: fuhgeddaboutit.

Ted Richards using CBolt as his inspiration and mentor: fantastic. If we had 22 players who played with the same team-spirit and application as CBolt, we'd win a premiership.

Oh, wait a minute, we do. And we did.

And good on Nikki Tugwell for still bangin' away keeping up interest in the Swans off-season. Even during the un-trendy days of early '05, she was happy to go in to bat for the Swans, and wrote some more thoughtful pieces than the 'boring team, doomed to failure' bandwagon-jumping that was trendy at the time.
