Letter in the new Swans magazine.

Just over at a friends place and was reading through the swans magazine. There is a letter in the "your say" section by Ian Hamilton who must be the same character who posts on RWO. All I can say if you have the magazine is: read it!!

Bloody heck Ian. Hats off to you mate that's quite a story.

    Yeh, I read that.

It was noted on Bigfooty in the absence of RWO.

    Letter of the year, Ian.

It was a fab article - and written from the heart.

Ian has been to hell and back, but he is just the most positive person. We could all learn a thing or two from him.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Nice one, Ian. Great story, well told.

All the best to ya mate!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Well thanks guys for those kind words it came as quite a surprise when I heard the letter had been published, aside from a couple of my oldest friends it was a story that I had kept to myself all these years.

I actually thought most of the letters were quite moving especially the one concerning the gentleman whose family brought the plasma tv to his hospital bed so they could watch the grand final together.
Lots of people have interesting stories to tell and I guess even though I did not expect it to be published if people get some positive vibes from reading it then thats great.
cheers for now and keep smiling Ian

              Any chance of posting it?

Unfortunately, I'm not a Swans member at the moment, due to my locale, but I'm interested in reading the story.

The December mag is quite a good one....informative, lots of great photos, letters etc. Worth trying to get hold of...I don't know if the Swans office has any spares or would send any out.
As for seeing Ian's letter, he might be able to send it to you electronically.....or maybe he'd post it.....Ian???

Ian, a moving account of your experience. Thanks for sharing it with us.

My understanding is that the selection of letters will be posted on the swans website some time in the future probably after the LA promotion is all over.
                    cheers Ian
