    Why I like Melbourne ABC TV

    I think the person who chooses the football footage for the news at the ABC in Melbourne is a passionate Swans fan.

    Yesterday, the ABC news covered the television rights for 2007 to 2011 being awarded to the 7/10 consortium. When football footage was shown to go with the news story, they chose Leo's mark, Davis's goal, and Swans players celebrating the premiership win. Other times I've noticed it's usually a Swans game being chosen as generic football footage.

    Has anyone else in Melbourne noticed this?

      Well they cant show any Carlton, Collingwood or Essendon Highligts from last year can they?!

          They could show all the eagles,dockers, crows off season highlights. They are very informative about the culture of those clubs.

              I thought all of the sport stuff for the news was based in Sydney, there was a furore about it last year, but I have been known to be wrong before, however that may help to explain the Swans footage.
