Over the PA System they announced that it was a knee when naming the teams

Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Just to confuse things further, the AFL site lists it as a calf.

At the AM, Steve Malaxos said it was his knee and the Saddo was out due to a groin strain - both done at training during the week. Micky was tested yesterday morning, but they decided not to play him.

I thought Malaxos said a calf Bron!!! Whatever it is, the fact he was tested this morning makes me thing he'll be right for next week. Saddo on the other hand was ruled out yesterday, so may miss another...

They said calf on the Winners just now, so I must have got it wrong. Also, they had Saddo down as a hip, but I'm sure that Malaxos said grion.

Maybe you were just too excited about your questions to Jude that were coming up, and weren't paying proper attention Bron

Obviously the Sydney staff were infected (momentarily) by Paul Roos induced honesty. Good grief what is the world coming to?

They accidently let it be known the actual situation with players and, in the process, were giving comfort to the kangaroos by letting the opposition know that two of our top five have injuries which are generally the bug bear of teams - knee and groin (ok ok osteo and hammy are equally troublesome, but anyway)

Somebody realised the gaff and quick smart took a dose of the Sheedy's and remembered to fib and present something far less worrying (calf and hip) in the forlorn hope that the Roos will train all week to meet these two and will (hopefully) be thrown off when they don't pass last minute fitness tests.

Then we will debut another player which, as everyone on this board knows, guarantees us a win.

Magic has had cronic knee problems over the preceeding... I'd say probably 3 or 4 years, more than likely contributing to his form in that time. I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of tendonitis and some historical bone knitting problems, something he and the medical staff have got to manage to keep him out on the park.

I think he has had his knee bandaged for the last few weeks so maybe it is a flare up of that, whatever it is I hope he is back this week!

Every time Magic marks, I fret. Actually, every time he gets close to other players, I worry. He always gets to his feet and looks like he's been hurt. Then he just shrugs it off.
