    Warfey

Thought Warfe played pretty well today.

He got some ground time for a change, and made the most of his opportunities.

He made a few mistakes, but did some really good things.

    Good signs I thought.

    Thoughts??

Not too bad, made a few mistakes but doesn't everybody. The extra game time can only help and did his job well. Still a fair way away from his best form but if he keeps it up for a few weeks, him being in the side doesn't hurt

I was about to press the stop button on Warfe... but he earned another week today. Still MUST do alot of work on disposal... but at least he was getting it today.

finally got some game time and did alright. One or two mistakes, but also one or two nice things. I would have dropped him a couple of weeks ago to get some time in the reserves, but that's all neither here nor there.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

You just love him don't you Plugger 46.

I must agree with you though, his grubbers were of the highest quality today. And the signs were great today, that after many years of playing footy he finally got one over the man on the mark, after he was let off the hook with a dubious in the back decision, after he did a superb underground up country mongrel grubber to the opposition.

Indications are that he has turned the corner.

Can't wait to watch more of his rapid improvement next week. Will he find a yard in pace and not get caught, and hit a team mate, not an opponent, with an accurate handpass. Riveting stuff.

When we say he played pretty well, I assume we're selectively excluding some of those kicks in the first qtr... ?

Warfe is getting better - definitely trying harder.
Did anyone notice Roos spoke to him alone at one point before play continued - I think Warfe is taking notice definitely of Roos and trying hard to improve. So let's encourage him - he is a good solid figure - build wise I mean.

I thought that Warfey played really well yesterday. He did some great things, took some great marks in the first half!!!
I hope he keeps this up and silences his critics for good.

                      Hey Nico,

I don't suppose there would be any chance that you could have a mind of your own is there?
How about you read between the lines for a change and have a look at the good things, with limited opportunities, that Warfe has done this year.

I will come from the clouds to back the man.

i don't want to be unkind ,plugger46, but surely you wouldn't consider Warfe a better player than Mathews (who you continually bag!)
Warfe had a reasonable game and got , what, ten possessions but he is 'just a player'.

I think I have only mentioned his name once or twice, but I see them as similar types and not much between them either way.

Mathews is earning at least 20 possessions a game as a midfielder, while Warfe hardly plays and when he does its as a defender

You've way lost me there. If that's you're opinion then it's not even worth debating with you. That's off the scale.
