    off the' hit' list

ok,ok, i was proven wrong ...jude bolton is playing well and can actually kick accurately! So i was wrong but , i know, he'll give the heart a few palpitations before seasons end.Maybe R oos realises that he is not a key position player and jude has stopped trying TOO hard.
The player who never deserved the crap was Mathews and I presume that most now accept his major contribution to the team...never in question to my mind and clearly in the top three over the last four or five weeks.
jury still out on Warfe and Leo......

I think warfey and Leo are almost week by week propositions. When in form, they are fantastic, but when they're not (often both in the same game!!) they certainly do give you a scare at times... What has been pleasing this year though is the way Roos has kept them on to allow them to make up for any mistakes. The players know just as well as the crowd if they have made an error - and would love the chance to make up for it.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

      Ahhhg Humility we love it.

Couple of years when he is a bit fitter - a sensation will FSC be.

I didn't have a "hit" list as such this year... just a "improve or gone" list. Off the IOG list are:
        Brett Kirk
        Jude Bolton
        Ben Mathews
        Jason Ball

Let's hope that the rest - Nicksy, Frosty, Warfe and Snapper - follow suit!

        We hate Anthony Rocca
        We hate Shannon Grant too
        We hate scumbag Gaspar
        But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

Let's get it in perspective mathews is "just a footballer".

Mind you, he doesn't inflict as many turnovers as he once did.

My main criticism of him is, he doesn't play closer enough to his opponent, at times, which can result in goals to the opposition.

most of players are 'just footballers' plugger46.....but i sure don't see too many of them getting 20 plus constructive possessions a game.

I don't see the big deal. A number of our players were playing pretty poorly last year. They needed to improve to be solid contributors at AFL level. They were named here. Most of them have since improved. Fantastic, but so what? I love all this "I told you so", but I don't recall all these people who were saying so last year and I'm sure there are calls they haven't made correctly.

Bolton, Matthews, Goodes, O'Loughlin, for example, were really not playing particularly well for much of last year and had to improve. This was not just noted by Swans fans. If they didn't some of them were potential trade bait. That's what happens in football. But it's not like we would have received nothing for them, so who's to say we would have been worse off if we had traded say Bolton for another good midfielder.

Most of the swans have been playing really well this season, yes there are the occasional few that form has been down in certain games [not mentioning any names} but having said that, what teams haven't had players down on form at some time during a season.

Don't know about that Bron, but if it helps we will let you claim it.

I don't know exactly where it came from but I know the acronym has been around from very early in his career.

                        Que?

Excuse ignorance but....what are you talking about?

Speaking of acronyms, one of the papers referred to LRT as LRT.

                        It said "known as LRT."

Methinks reporters are lurking here at RWOL!!!! Everywhere else they made a big thing of him being called "The Hyphen."

I thought that too.....BTW does anyone know why he is known as the Hyphen everywhere else but here?

The Hyphen due to the obvious reasons of the hyphen. I guess we have never picked up on it, just stuck at LRT for some reason
                            - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

i noticed that they called him LRT as well...

it is hard to yell out encouragement to him with a name like that, so i was just calling him lewis...
