"We haven't sat down and gone through and picked the game to pieces, but I think everyone's pretty aware of things that cost us during the game. I'm pretty sure we've all learnt from it."

Obviously you've learnt as much as them.

Yep...who gives a stuff...It's only St Kilda. Reiwoldt can't have learnt much from it if he hasn't even watched it (apart from live). I had a;ways thought better of him, but he's a Mummy's boy looking for a place to sook too.

The night of the PF win against the Saints, Tony Morwood made his way down to Albert Park where we were lined up for queing tickets after the match and where he made a rousing speech about how it was a great performance for us to make the GF against the odds. He wrapt it up by saying it was sad that some old south supporters had died before seeing them possibly win the flag and i quote "and as for StKilda well... (expletive starting with f) 'em" I think he summed it up quite well.
I really want to feel sorry for them but bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....who cares...we won thats all that matters and they will get their chance I have no doubt.
That's the most joyous thing I've read in a week. I have a grin from ear to ear. St Kilda's suffering is my ecstasy!!
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

yep, needs to face up to things and try and think of what they can do better (with one of the oldest lists in the game).
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
I used to be quite sympathetic to St Kilda, given they were even bigger losers than the Swans (were) in terms of premierships not won and wooden spoons secured. And I have some friends who support St Kilda who were moderately sensible.
But they're not very popular on this forum... can I ask if this is a recent thing (based on what I've heard is an arrogant attitude of their fans), or a deep-seated, ancient thing for you?
Sure, I can't stand that backstabber coach of theirs, but I'm not that averse to the rest of them.
I dislike the Saints for 2 reasons. Firstly they were so arrogant and assumed they had the flag in the bag (like this year ) and secondly, and much more importantly, I hate they way they used the system to have the best picks year after year while other teams ie. Sydney, Geelong, Kangaroos, kept trying to finish as high as they could. I would just hate it to be proven that coming down the bottom, getting the best picks, tanking games etc is a way to win a flag. On the otherhand I felt very sorry for the Geelong supporters when they lost to us. If Sydney can't win it this year, Geelong would be my next choice.

I definitely agree with you about the Geelong fans. I was sat behind a few at the SCG 'that night' (not too far from where Nick D performed his last-second heroics!). The banter was friendly throughout the game, and they were really gracious in defeat.
It's rare I feel sorry for opposition fans, but I really felt for them that night, as I could appreciate just how painful it would be to lose in that way, and they were still capable of showing sportsmanship and good humour.
