            Firstly, Michael Clarke is the new Ricky Ponting. And it has taken Ricky over ten years and then the captaincy to really show the world what he is capable of.

            Secondly, I think LRT has already been through the 'over-hype'. In 2003, he was the rising superstar of the team, and then had a bad 2004, followed by a very ordinary three qtrs of 2005. I think he has learnt a lot from it all, and success will fill him with the belief he needs.

                        LRT will be fine in 2006. He won't go back.

                        He was nursed through 2003 in a position that came naturally to him.

                        Was injured in 2004 and never go going.

                        In 2005 he was asked to learn a new and disciplined position on the ground and didn't take off until the Bulldogs game where his touches started to become surer.

                        He got better and better till he was nearly BOG to halftime in the Grannie...anyone who was at the ground knows that. On the day every possession is intense and to get it 8 times in a quarter on that day is like a possession tsunami.

                        Assuming no injuries, his 2006 will be even better. Mark my words, mark this thread and we'll review in October! Gee I hope his 2006 GF performance is even better!

                            I think we have all failed to recognise that LRT only played about 30 games (if that) of Aussie Rules in three years before coming to the Swans. The boy has been unbelievable when fit if you ask me. There are many idiosyncrasies to the game of AFL to learn and take in than being able to run, mark, kick, handball, sheppard etc etc that Lewis has had to learn the hard way at the Swans and get lambasted for it by so-called experts on RWO.

                            You'll never hear me bag LRT however, when we talk about Donkey Doyle and Nic Fosd***head that is a different story........

                                                I wasn't surprised when Schneider returned to form. He obviously had talent, and 2003 was proof of that, and you don't lose talent overnight. But I think the last quarter of the PF showed he looks to be our only genuine crumber and that's where he should stay...Monty to the midfield!
