In reality it is a good sign that something as small as this is deemed news worthy.

      Check out the Swans homepage.

      I nearly choked with laughter.

B&W photo (probably a stock photo) of a non-smiling Tadhg.

      Classic!!!!!!

WHAT is it with footy players - is a lobotomy part of the deal as soon as you sign up? The latest lunatic is Sydney Swan Tadhg Kennelly, who thought it would be funny to strip teammate Lewis Robert-Thomson of his shorts in front of a girls' school assembly. Kennelly agreed it was dumb - possibly the dumbest thing he'd ever done, he quickly acknowledged. Question is, why did occur to him too late that this would be the act of an imbecile? Talk about stark raving.

Talk about over the top! We really are becoming a humourless lot what with the Phil Tufnell gags and now this. How this becomes news is beyond me.

As reigning premiers ( ), the Swans are instantly elevated to a position for all to have a pop at for the slightest thing. Any 'transgressions' (eg Nick D's embarassing return to Sydney ...!) will be pounced upon by the media, as the profile is so much higher.

Unfortunately it's just one of the (albeit few) downsides to holding the flag - as Number one everyone else is out there to bring you down!

If this is the most evil insidious thing a Swans player does this year, it will be a quite news year.

Not his cleverest moment but strewth you'd think the planet had had a complete humour bypass given the response.

I don't think the article was a complete negative article.
it was just that Editorial piece that was a bit evil..

That editorial is harsh. It was harmless. Just because the Rugby League boys are behaving themselves this week, they're desperate for some footballers-behaving-badly news.
                      Exactly my thoughts.
And i work in a school with schoolkids.

Sure, it was stupid and inappropriate, but I'd rather one of our team dack someone than turn up drunk to training. *coughshannongrantcough*

Agree. Stupid but harmless. At least he was contrite about it all and has apologised. Unlike some league boofheads who try to blame everything except themselves.

If ever a picture was worth a thousand words....

As a parent of two young girls, I am most concerned that it was LRT who was dacked. I would definitely not want my children to see such a thing speedos or no speedos.

Seriously, dacking your teammate in front of an assembly of young school girls is as dumb and thoughtless an idiocy as I have seen. Up there with Ablett's kick to Cousins in the goal square. Beggars belief.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Compared to some of things that happen in society I think your being too harsh. Thoughtless idiocy would be to park in a handicapped zone or to stay seated on public transport while a pregnant women stands. Lets get some context here. Yes it was ill advised but he has apologised and has showed contrition so lets move on.
