Melbourne-based Fans: Where to watch games this year?

Hey guys and girls, I'm a melbourne based premiership club member, and I was just wondering where everyone is planning on meeting up to watch games this year? It's not too far away really. I'm based in the inner-eastern suburbs, so Hawthorn-Richmond pubs are good!!!

the real problem with this whole concept of "planning a pub" for 2006, is that the plans will be ballsed-up in the EXACT same way as the same "plans" were in 2005.. around 1pm on the game day, no one individual will make the required decisions.. and thirty or so others will wander the streets of inner east Melbourne looking for a bar with some red and white near the tele.

Let's not kid ourselves by trying to plan what will happen. Sure, all of us who tried to making standing plans at the start of 2005 hoped to be in a fixed pub each game day, but none of us really knew the ride we were on or the miles we would walk looking for "the planned pub" until round 4, when we decided to sit at home at watch the games in our comfy chairs.

I say kick the cat out of the Jason Recliner, make sure there are half a dozen or so stubbies in the fridge (and a glass in the freezer), bring on Dennis and Dermie, and lets enjoy the journey (anyone familiar with RWO knows we are on a 'journey' and not a 'ride') Go BLoods!! (anyone familiar with RWO knows they are the 'Bloods' - South Melbourne, tough, blue collar etc - and not the 'Swannies' - Sydney, poofish, superficial, behind clappers etc)

Each to there own Ajn. As long you're a loyal supporter you have the right to call them Swans,Swannies, Bloods or just plain Sydney. For your information I alternate between all 4 names depending on the mood I'm in at the time. So if I'm sitting near you when I let rip with a Go you Swannies it should be interesting conversation if you do decide to 'snot' me. My nickname is not Big Al because of the size of my personality

If i watch the game at any pub i watch it at Bells Hotel in Port Melbourne! Afew other cheer squad members have been known to watch the game there as well
