    Malceski

The esky has the goods. Is he likely to spend time in a pocket (he is not a bad kick) or should he come straight into the midfield. If so, at whose expense?

    Pocket.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

"The pocket" a hackneyed old footy term/position that has been redundant for a decade. The place you are talking about is a spot on the ground that a player occupies for a nano second as part of the "rotation".

To position a player, any player next to a point post does nothing for a player's development. Put the man in the guts.

I think wing in the role Maxfield played in the late 90s raking those long kicks down to the forward line.

Wing / HB Flank sounds like the go.

I'd like to see him on a wing - agreed like Murph and Maxi

would be wasted in a pocket

Agreed. But if he's in the starting 18, who is he going to replace?

i cant see him starting round 1 but you just never know with injuries etc......

if he gets an opportunity it could be the beginning of an extended run in the seniors and i hope he grabs it this season
