    Curtain raisers

Do you get to the ground in time to watch the ressies? Should the SFL provide a curtain raiser now and again?

I did, it was the only way to see Schaubs play. I'd like to see the SFL provide the curtain raisers for the home games and the reserves play in Sydney on off weekends where the seniors play out of state.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We use to go to the reserves, but last year soccer made it impossible to get there in time.

Curtain raisers are for no-life tight-arses.

Curtain raisers are for the purists. Those that love to go to see all of the list playing. I grew up getting to the footy when the gates opened at 11am.

That was great value because you got to see 2 games of footy. For a footy mad kid that was the highlight of any week in footy season.

I guess Sanecow you will never appreciate the finer aspects of the game.

I always had a seasons ticket so I already had good value.

Great value was not in the monetary sense but in how much footy I saw.
