Shocking Service in the Noble stand

How bad was the service in the Noble stand for the after match function today. First the VB on tap was shut off, then they ran out of VB cans, then they closed the bar before Maxfield even came on to talk. What is the point of an after match function if you cannot share a beer with mates talking about the game especially when the guest speakers are still presenting.

My other piece of grief is I found out today that they charge 10c for pouring a light beer into a cup as you cannot take glass outside - hence making the light beer the same price as a regular beer - that I do believe is illegal.

You lot are really doing it tough in good old Sydney Town, the Centre of the Universe. That is terrible treatment. It really does make the high prices at Melbourne venues pale into insignificance.

Why don't they just make you slum it and pour your grog into, dare I say it, plastic glasses. I've heard of corkage but never glassage.

Sorry, wrong guy I am usually on the balconny, and while on the subject why can't they put some speakers out there so you can hear Luffy and the guests.

But I'm with blinddog.... I was very good and waited till after my moment with Jude BSMBH (be still my beating heart) before going for a second drink, and by then! It was too late!

Service was lousy.

But, the service staff all over the SCG are HOPELESS. I do business process improvement for a living and I swear they could get sorted out with a minimum of effort! In the pizza place in the Brewongle (great idea - fresh pizzas), they have one girl who takes the order, takes out the pizza and puts it in the oven. Then they had (on sunday) 2 - 4 people watching the oven!!!! There are 2 ovens, 1 didn't work. One guy was confirming it didn't work, one cut the pizzas (10 seconds effort every 3 - 4 minutes), one took the pizzas out of the oven (2 seconds effort every 3 - 4 minutes). Just nuts. It's not the people, it's how they've been trained.

And they close most food outlets at 3/4 time if not before.

Hell you guys have it easy NO full strength beer at all at SubI no Smoking for those that smoke anywhere but specail spots which you can't see the footy and are jammed packed during the breaks(I use to smoke and it was hell) $5.00 per per cup no cans more for bourbon again no cans and gaurds at every entrance and if you stand up for to long after each goal they will tap you on the shoulder and no swearing(in the stands which is kind fair). If you remeber Eade( had a visit from the boys in blue in the box after a match at WACA(boy he let them have it). I swear these guys are NAZI's

Hey after visiting Subi earlier this year I admit we have it generally OK in the Noble stand at the SCG, my point is basically the service is getting worse every game, and they are breaking the RSA legislation by serving lite beer at the same price as full strength. For your info you can't smoke in the SCG, you have to go behind the stands where you can't see the game - but at least it is not like Subi where you need a pass out of the stadium.

Don't know much about SCG last time I was there you could smoke in your seat or just everyone elses was so not really trying to argue your point just sharing my problems.

i got an attendant to kick out two people who were smoking in the SCG this week im so sick of having to put up with people who smoke and their inability to realise that just because they want to damage their lungs, people around them dont have to put up with it... uni is shocking for that!!!

Do not feel sorry for me as I do not Smoke (anymore). I was trying to point out some probs with the ground. No full strength beer,no cans,and no swearing, no standing to long or celeberating after goals,prices and no smoking in most parts the ground, stands are different(of course Shane Warne was permitted at last weeks game).

Two mates of mine paid for a private box at the Lions game at the SCG, i think for the last time.

Drinks(Beer, wine,softdrink, water etc)was not served to patrons during the game but only at 1/4 time or 1/2 time, obviously u have 20 people trying to get a drink at once and its a long wait. T

They missed plenty of the second quarter waiting to be served.

They didnt have that problem in the last quarter because nothing was served at 3/4 time, they stopped serving at half time without any warning.

Great service.

maxfield was at the last aftermatch? that's just my luck. the aftermatch i can't go to has him show up.

The timing of the last AM was bad. Malaxos came up, then a good 1/2 hour later, Jude came up, then Stewie. He must have been a good 15 mins after Jude and by then I reckon half the people had left!
