    Plugger or Kelly

If we could have one of them back (at their best) for season '06 who would you take?

    Kelly without a doubt.

We need a midfielder like him more than a forward.

          Yep,

          Have to agree.

I'd love to have Kelly back on deck.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

Both were broken down old hacks in their last year and that's all RWO allows me to use in judging a player so it's a tough call. Plugger would be more useful in the Canberra comp. though.

As good as Kelly was Plugger has one claim to fame. The greatest goalkicker of all time.

Even the duds at StKilda could hit him on the chest.

              Plugger by a country mile.

Plugger. Swans aren't exactly goalkicking machines and he would be handy for 120+ goals. Mr Hall to CHF - pretty nice.

Kelly was the heart and soul of the club for a decade. However with the injuries he was riddle with he may struggle to have any impact. Thta would not be from trying his heart out.

Plugger won more matches off his own boot than probably any other player. He'd have to be the choice.

Definately in the Plugger crew. Kelly was a legend but having Plugger in our forward line now would be unstoppable.

Kelly was the equal hardest (with WankCarey) and best player in the comp in 96 & 97 (as evidenced by his All-Australian Captaincy both years) therefore, King Paul for myself.

With the way footy is played these days with the reduced game duration time (20min qrts), flooding, zoning off, kicking bl**y backwards etc etc, Plugger would have been reduced to a 85-90 goal a year FF - which we already have in Bazza......

We need a Kelly more than we need a Bazza. Stats are not the be-all and end-all, as Kelly's worth (and possessions accumulated) was enormous to the Swans during those years.
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential

Somebody told me, The Killers, Hot Fuss, 2004.

Don't agree with that. Gehrig managed to kick the ton in 2004 and he's not half the player Lockett was. Plugger would be a prolific goalkicker in any era. The key forwards of today simply aren't as good as those of 10 years ago. ie: Lockett, Ablett, Carey, Dunstall, Kernahan.
