    Where to play McVeigh?

Is there room in the 22? I think he has the ability and would love to see him and Fosdike run all day past Kirk, Bolton and Monty. What do you think?

Yes! Give him Willo's spot in the midfield and play Willo from HB or HF for his last hurrah. Macca will shine with more game time.

Outside receiver and forward. The talent is there.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Do we have a reserves, reserves team in Canberra? Should have traded him to Essendon.

fire a rocket up him and give him some space on the wing or back flank. if his disposal isn't shining by round 6 or so back to the ressies and start talking his hardness to the ball (of which the team has plenty) up to the talent scouts.

Put him at CHB and leave him there all year, regardless of the consequences.

He reminds me of Dale Lewis, has the talent, but we don't see it very often. - Laconic.

Give him full games, or as full as they come in this modern game, .
Hopefully we will see him become the player we all hope he can be.

I not sure how much more Willo can give, the range of his kicking has been declining over the years and it wouldn't be a complete shock if his 2006, was a bit like Maxfield's 2004.

Last year was frustating, he is clearly a mile above the ACTFL level (I watched one game where he had about 50 possesions, kicked 6 or so goals) yet in the seniors he seems to do the occasional nice thing and then fade away.
Part of the problem in senior company is that he's still too easily brushed aside, it'll be interesting to see whether another summer in the gym will help in this area.

It's a make or break season for McVeigh. Rotate him through the midfield with much more game time - he has the talent to be a good player for us.

I would have thought Willoughby and Schmidt might be under greater preassure, neither has debuted yet.

Thank you. That's the first "you idiot" for me for 2006.
