Rumour has it that Eddie Maguire has allegedly been approached to join the Swans Board. It is understood that this was instigated by a very highly placed player within the Swans hierarchy. Can anyone confirm this?

Why not? Seems to be very good at that sort of thing and I am sure that if he did join the board he would put every effort in to doing it well (he seems to do that with everything he does). That said, I think it is highly unlikely that he would accept an offer.Comment

Not a hope in hell he would join our board, but like Charlie, I think he would be fantastic for the NSW/ACT AFL Board.
As much as I dislike him, I think he is easily one of the greatest club presidents in AFL history. He really has stopped at nothing to give Collingwood every chance of success.Comment
