    Eddie Maguire

Rumour has it that Eddie Maguire has allegedly been approached to join the Swans Board. It is understood that this was instigated by a very highly placed player within the Swans hierarchy. Can anyone confirm this?

LOL. Where did you hear this, mate?

For a realistic contribution to NSW footy, I wouldn't mind seeing Eddie join the NSW/ACT AFL board.

I think someones pulling your leg, although Richard Colless did make a tongue in cheek comment to that effect.

Why not? Seems to be very good at that sort of thing and I am sure that if he did join the board he would put every effort in to doing it well (he seems to do that with everything he does). That said, I think it is highly unlikely that he would accept an offer.

I like Eddie. I think he did a great job for Collingwood and would be perfect for promoting the game in NSW. I just don't think he should joing the Swans, but joining NSW/ACT board would be awsome.

Not a hope in hell he would join our board, but like Charlie, I think he would be fantastic for the NSW/ACT AFL Board.

As much as I dislike him, I think he is easily one of the greatest club presidents in AFL history. He really has stopped at nothing to give Collingwood every chance of success.

Got to agree with you there Damien, he seems to be the sort of guy that makes you think that he could even make Telstra shares rise in value if he was in charge there.

Jeez now that would be insane!

Just a pity he had to grow up being a Colliwobbles supporter though.
