Looking ahead - the Subi curse

Just put in my preliminary tips for next week (while checking out who's currently sitting top of the tipping ladder!!) and noticed that Richmond play the Weagles at Subiaco next week.

The Richmond game in a fortnight is going to be a toughy - those of us who saw the inept pre-season performance from the Tiges at the SCG will be amazed at how well they're going now the real stuff has started - but it can't be a bad thing that they'll be coming off the longest trip in the competition (and a game against probably the best team at the moment, on current form at least).

Yeah some interesting points for Roosy to consider for that game.

I suppose our game plan will be vastly different to that of the Tigers. 2 form teams, so I wonder which one will try and negate the other.

I mean it's not really in Roosy's make-up to worry too much about the opposition but the Tigers will still try to play long because they still have enough talls, Stafford, Hall and Richo, plus they have two of the most dangerous crumbers in the game.

In fact the more I think about, the more similar the matchups there will be, although I still wish we had a 6'5" mogrel athletic fullback.

I'd like to think the Eagles have pounded them into submission the week prior!

If the Subiaco Curse continues for the rest of the season, ie no teams winning the week after playing in WA, then it turns out we've been given quite a nice draw. We've already benefitted from it with Geelong, and we also get to play Richmond, Bulldogs, Carlton and Melbourne the week after they've played West Coast in Perth.

All that realy matters is that we don't get to play them in a final over there!!!!

Cause if you win the next week isn't looking too good.....

We, therefore must be high enough to get a home final..
