    Which win was more satisfying?

It may end up being a onesided poll but please indulge me.

I was just podering the fact that rarely does a team beat the two Grand Finalists in consecutive weeks. Both wins have their merits, Brisbane because they are the reigning premiers and Collingwood because they are the Eddies.

It is always very pleasing to beat the Eddies no matter what their position on the ladder . I have a soft spot for the Lions as they are part of the Northern brotherhood and I loved watching Mick Conlan ex Canberra play for the old Lions

Hard to choose but I'd say Brisbane because on Collingwoods form anyone could beat them where as Brisbane are a class team.

        Collingwood, because:
        a) I was there
        b) I hate Collingwood
        c) it was great to watch the Swans reduce the 35,000 self-proclaimed World's Greatest Supporters to silence for three quarters of the match, then watch streams of self-proclaimed World's Greatest Supporters streaming out of the ground with ten minutes still to go.

Why is it that Collingwood supporters always leave before the siren when their team loses????

          Fickle????

            Very, very interesting poll.

From the purely emotional sense, you'd go for Collingwood, as it was the Eddies, and there was the banner... the garbage that comes from Collingwood... all that. Pure hatred.

But in terms of our season, Brisbane was SOOOOO much bigger. It confirmed for the fans, and more importantly the players, that we are a genuine side capable of beating anyone... Crouchy's goal will probably be the defining moment of our season. It doesn't match Plugger's behind for sheer drama, but in terms of what it will mean for confidence... well...

So in the end, I went with the on-field significance, and that meant Brisbane.
            We hate Anthony Rocca
            We hate Shannon Grant too
            We hate scumbag Gaspar
            But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

It?s always great to beat the Pies particularly on their own dung heap, but the Brisbane win was far more significant. Brisbane are the yardstick by which all other teams are measured, to beat them was hugely significant for Sydney. Collingwood are a very average side that overachieved last year; beating them didn?t really tell us much about where the Swans were at.

The Brisbane game really put the Swans on the map for this season.

Being at the game and against the Premiers it would
have to be the Brisbane game.

Would have to say Collingwood. Nothing beats seeing their feral supporters walk out of the stadium as losers, particularly when everyone had tipped them to pretty much hammer us and all the whinging regarding the salary cap concessions is taken into account. I also have a soft spot for the Lions in a developing market such as ours.

Summing up a lot of view here I think when I say:
Collingwood was the more satisfying from a personal view.
Brisbane was the more satisfying from a team view.

                      "The Eddies" - love it!

Collingwood because I travelled from Sydney to see it. I saw the Hawks and Blues slug it out at Optus, had a lovely dinner of Peroni Beer and Pizza, then walked all the way to Telstra Dome and saw the Swans play their best game in years in those sensational Centenary jumpers beating the confident upstarts.

In fact, it was one of the best nights ever. My mate who moved here from Vic and is a Pies supporter was ropeable but the Swans are his second side now. He now cheers his arse off at great Swans moments of which there are many.

That Collingwood game still sends magic shivers up my spine.

Collingwood - away from home, with Eddie having been so unbearable. It's nearly always good to see the Pies suffer.

The Collingwood game by far. It was away and in front of Eddie - gave him 700,000 reasons to cry by proving we were 15% better than Collingwood. Also the jumper played a big part
                              Once was, now elsewhere
