        I would love to see Aker running around in the red and white next year (without giving up too much of course)- but as I said he is just using the oldest trick in the book by starting 'swans set to swoop' type rumours.

        It helped Kouta, Mercuri and Lucas secure big, fat, long term contracts- why wouldn't Aker try it.

        I don't think you can compare his situation to Nick Davis as he was originally from Sydney and there were rumblings as early as 2001 that Davis was wanting to "come home". Wheras Aker is a Brissie boy.

        I agree you can never say never, with salary cap pressure etc. but he has stated he wants to finish his career at the one club, would have to be a hell of an offer to shift him.
