I think we are better going with a 5 man forward line in the following mold

HF - Adam Schneider Barry Hall Nick Davis
F- Michael O'Loughlin Jason Ball (resting ruckman)

That leaves a player (Goodes or LRT or Ball) to go into the ruck as our 6th forward in a way and allow us to drop an extra player back or give us an extra player in the midfield.

I am a big proponent of the 5-man forward line. The talent we have down there is phenomenal... and all (with the exception of Ball) young enough to become one of the all-time great forward lines together over the next 6-7 years.

It gives us the option of throwing Goodes through the middle, as a 7th midfielder. 2 talls, 2 in-and-unders and 3 receivers = an incredibly attacking midfield that will dominate in the air, with enough leg speed to get us out of trouble and at least the likelihood that we'll break even in any pack situation.

The half-back line can then also be set up with this in mind... Kennelly, Saddo and Mathews may not completely shut down the opposition half forwards, but between them will make up for it in what they give us in attacking power. They are all runners, and as long as their kicking is ok, Ball and Goodes will lap it up across the centre line, and in turn Hall and Magic will have the time of their lives.

The 5 man forward line sets us up SO WELL to have one of the most attacking teams going around. It gives us the X-Factor of a second offensive tall through the midfield. On the Sydney grounds in particular, where 5 will mean a lot less cramping, it could mean some VERY high scores. I'm not willing to rule out 25, 26, 27 goals if our kicking skills are good.
