    Team of the 90's

I was just thinking to myself today, about how many gun footballers we possessed throughout the 90's.
I've just come up with a quick side off the top of my head so here it is.

    FB: Roos, Dunkley, Neagle
    HB: Lewis, Bayes, Osbourne
    C: Schwass, G.Williams, Maxfield
    HF: Healy, Carroll, O'Loughlin
    FF: Kickett, Lockett, O'Brien
    FOLL: Stafford, Kelly, Cresswell
    INT: Grant, D.Murphy, S.Wright, W.Capper

Special mentions to Darren Kappler, Jason Mooney, Brad Seymour and Dermie who nearly got there on pure football ability.

    Thoughts??

      J. Lawson on the wing and B. Tumbridge in the ruck

These would be my only changes but most of your list just made it into the 90's

Hey Plugger, you forgot to put in Buckerina as the coach.

I think you could also have found a spot for Quirk on the HBF.

And what about the recruits of the decade - Begovich and Corcoran.

Strewth Charlie, those 3 were miles better than the 2 stars I posted.

Fair dinkum Plugger if I hear you dare mention Jason Mooney as having heaps of ability and being hard at it once more in your life then you are off our Christmas list. And you can forget about birthdays too.

He had questionable ability(just ask Geelong supporters) and it is no point being hard if you can't get the footy. Would have to be the most disappointing footballer of the decade.

Average stats of about 5, and still got a game, still makes me staggered at my own astonishment.

Interestingly enough, when I first started following the team in '97, this was always the first line I would fill in each week. You just couldn't go wrong with that combo (until staff got chronically injured and crap).

Are we talking about players who played a majority of the 90s, or simply anyone who ever played a game between 1990 - 1999

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

We have had this argument on many occasions Nico, the bloke was a very important part of our side in '96. I've got those videos of all the wins since '93 that you can sit down and watch next time your here, you will then realise that he could play.

He was past his best when he went to Geelong, and had plenty of injuries.

I still have found no one that agrees with you on him, and I doubt I ever will, with the exception of those sons of yours who have been mislead by your goodself.

Robbie is now payin in a northern territory league. Was a half decent player.
Why not add the Rhino, Ryan O'Conner. Or even Simon Feast, or Ricky something

I agree with most of the selections, with the exception of Heuskas and Dyson.

Nicks would probably be a bit lucky too.
