Was it my imagination, or did Essendon deliberately target Goodes for the rough stuff?
It seemed like every time he took a mark or went to ground, a Bombers player (or two) would jump into his back for no other reason than to knock the wind out of him. I was surprised he kept his cool!
Still, I suppose he'll be every coach's no.1 target from now on, although not necessarily in that inimitable Sheedy fashion.
