Goodes to withdraw

Was it my imagination, or did Essendon deliberately target Goodes for the rough stuff?

It seemed like every time he took a mark or went to ground, a Bombers player (or two) would jump into his back for no other reason than to knock the wind out of him. I was surprised he kept his cool!

Still, I suppose he'll be every coach's no.1 target from now on, although not necessarily in that inimitable Sheedy fashion.

He and one or two others were definately targetted, and his reactions clearly told the story.
Thing is we are top four, the reasons we are winning are going to be targetting, see the close attention to Goodes, Schneider, even Davis on Saturday.

I think all credit to Roos for keeping them on track in the face of it. We're going to get more of it, particularly against sides like Port.
