    Allesio - warning

    I am at the airport

    The Filth team are here

Allesio is with the team - all others also appear - presume this means he's playing

Yeah...I wouldn't worry. I'd be shocked if Allessio DIDN'T play. Get used to it. Sheedy's team lists are so useless there's no point reading sometimes.

I half expected to see Serena Williams named as Fullback.
Time to march for the Red and White

      We have eyes everywhere!!!!

Did anyone really have any doubts that alessio might play?? Sounds like Track One from Sheedy's Greatest Hits to me.

      Round 13, 1997. It's time, people.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Must beat the filth - must win- I hate - and they are just metres away.

Giving me some unpleasant stares cause of the Swans gear.

God I hope we murder em.

is someone statistically minded out there able to tell me when the last time Essendon lined up as selected?

It was Des's "Round 13 1997" that put the idea in my head - as this was probably about the last time it happened

            Never ever

was it 88 when Sheedy snuck Shane Heard into Adelaide in the state of Origin game (he wasn't even in the squad) then played him off the bench?

            Always uses everything he has

Can confirm Barnard, Wellman Perverill other known players are at airport - would guess they are dropping a lesser light

There IS the vague possibility he is there as an emergency... is everyone else making him carry their bags?

I would say Misiti is most likely to drop out - but Sheedy probably brought everyone along just incase Reggi spotted them at the airport

                  Hope they get food poisoning

I think alessio will play. They have brought in slow midfielders and against the pace of the swans it is a very miscalculated move, i think misti will be out and alessio in - for the main part experience in the ruck against the most mobile ruck pair in the afl (so the age says) and to exploit height in our forward line - a favourite of opposition coaches and usually pretty effective.

                      They should have played him

I am now concerned that I may be a double agent.

They should have played him - actually he sat in the same row as me on the flight - spoke to the supporters as if he was definately playing.

Well, in hindsight, you'd have to say they needed one more tall to come in when Ball started getting on top there. Hille only seems good for a first second and third effort. But after a half of footy there really was nothing left for the Dons to try...

                          ...that would've worked, anyway

Of course, even when there WERE competing, the Goodes/Ball/Hall show never looked like losing out.

I think Sheedy decided he was going to back the kids to run hard and win whatever Ball and co brought to ground. It think he forgot how hard the Swans midfield has been working this year.

Am I shocked they didn't play Allessio? Like I'd care less

                          GO SWANNIES!!!!!

I was 100% certain that they'd play him, but this time it's a great feeling to be wrong.

'Amazed that he didn't though. They could've sat Alessio in the forward pocket for the whole game and he would've been more dangerous and effective than Misiti. An interesting and costly error from Sheedy -- love it!
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!
