Fair enough bear I was just judging meiklejohn on the fact that he has the same height/weight specs as dustin fletcher but I havent seem enough of him live to judge whether he has the pace and agility of a fletcher to.

What about Stevens good hands, agile ad has a decent body size. In the words of Roos you don't recruit fullbacks you create them and he has four years of exp at the club I reckon hes our man.

Yep, Roos has played him down back a couple of times, and he's been down back in the 2's as well.
He seems the ideal candidate. No matter how well Schabs and Saddo are going, we'd still need a good quality backup tall.

I and a few others have been pushing for Stevens to play CHB for some time. I missed the Reserves but I noticed someone said he played well in the backline. Maybe he is being targeted for the CHB role. I hope so.
I am a great Meiklejohn fan but IMO he is a ruckman not a KPP.

I am not convinced about Bolton. I believe his injury against Melbourne was the catalyst for this amazing run of form.

Roos persisted for too long with him in that Melbourne match, and when he came off, we seemed to turn it around.

I think Bolton will play well on certain opponents, but I don't think he is a throw him in anywhere player. He scares me lol.

Think Stevens will be too slow and not strong enough for a key backman.

To be honest I don't think there is a spot in the side for him.

Might be a bit harsh though, probably still haven't seen enough of him.

IIRC, that was actually chris connolly who said that after their "unheralded" defense stood up against our attack

Connolly may have said that but Roos said that in response to a question related to Dunks retirement and replacing him I would never qoute Connolly.

Whoever said was right trying to buy a Full Back is hit and miss, growing your own is easier.
