Regardless of how noisy or quiet they were, at least they were there -- 45k+ of them!

A good effort that'll provide some very welcome financial relief.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

It must be the acoustics! I thought the crowd was great. I heard the cheer squad! There were multiple chants going on around me (aisle 108) and I had competition for a change!

I was in aisle 114 and the fans were very animated and cheered and yelled all night. One bloke was playing his bugle in tune with our cheering which continued even when Lucas was in full flight. We have our own cheer leader - the same bloke who is in the TV ads.

That looked bloody hilarious, the blokes waving jackets etc. Im guessing they enjoyed it. Good to see a large crowd. The crowd was pretty lively but that stadium doesnt really generate an awesome atmosphere unless it is overflowing

Did you hear me donging the drum?

I agree with Nicko. Mekbourne crowds only started chanting as one during the 3rd quarter of tight matches. In Sydney it starts after the first goal.

Still Stadium Australia is a atmosphere desert as far as I'm concerned. 21000 can make a lot more noise than 45000 at Homebush.

Support was okay - - I am in aisle 108 too - aboriginal flag went up and could see Goodes and O'Loughlin appreciated it. Fair bit of yelling - I still have a sore throat from Saturday - but that is me - I entertained a young lady in a wheel chair with my enthusiasm and yelling - much to the disgust of my embarrased daughter.
              Love those Swans

                worse than not cheering...

.... is not standing up for the National Anthem, either of them. There were about 4-5 next to me who sat on their arses during both versions of the national anthem. We thought maybe they are tourists but nope, not a foreign accent among them. I mean if i was overseas I would stand with the rest of the crowd for their anthem

Maybe these reprobates had their reasons. It is after all a democracy.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

If they were Aboriginal they WOULD have had a reason to not stand. People standing in total silence when they could be singing it annoy me. Like how reserved can you be?

Maybe we were all just so shocked that the anthem wasn't being sung acappella style by a boy-band - the fact that it WAS possible to sing along took us all by total surprise.

                          Maybe next time
