we're really in news, saw Davis on white line fever.

And the Pie fans were sucking up to him. Pretty much predictable. Said he would have stayed at Collingwood if they won the big one. Probably to get his face all over their team photos.

im a huge fan of davis' footy, but he was either extremely nervous or he is just a dead head... he comes out and comments:

"now we are 8 and 4"

"cressa will be the first to tell u that we havent won a game without him this year"

hmmm... i dont think he is one for the VC

I don't think Nicky D is one for the media Seems the quiet type who sticks to himself. I don't really care as long as he lets his footy talk for him!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Actually - that was stated in a Hobart Mercury article lol - Mr Cresswell was quite open about that statement a few weeks ago! Tongue in cheek of course, but the Mercury jumped on it!

I had fun reading that on a recent trip back down there.

I felt Nic came over very well - I enjoyed his comments, ok he made an error saying 8 and 4 - but consider how careful they have to be and not give too mujch away.
Of course he would say he would of stayed if they won the big one - easy said when over and done - I think he had already made up his mind - and didn't let on. Just wanted to talk to Paul and see team etc. He said he considered the list and the number of young ones on Sydneys list.

I would also say I would of stayed if we'd won the big one - but all things considered I feel he is very happy here in Sydney and playing great football and much happier working with Roos than with Malthouse (Pain). I would hate to be learning under him - may be a great teacher but also pulls down his players.

Nic is playing really well for us and I think that answers where he want to playh.
          Love those Swans

Janpa so he more or less stated he looked at both lists and opted for Sydney or didn't he quite go that far
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I missed it. Did he say this on Fox? I hope this wasn't a subconcious admission the boys are any less wary about the doggies. We're not 8-4 yet....not by a LONG way.

Good to hear he's come out of his shell a bit. I think the pressure on him was terrible. He pretty much had Eddie and the gang, and all his "friends" hassling him for half a year......then the Collingwood "faithful" getting stuck into him...gets into a Grand Final, of all things...finally quits in acrimonious circumstances where he was even barred from the club dinner for spite...had to sit and watch while the two clubs refused to deal for him him until the 11th hour...then he finally arrives only to find plenty of fans didn't seem to rate him...then he wears WHITE boots of all things....

I'm amazed at his composure. What'll he be like when he finally gets a chance to relax?

No I don't think he rated our list better Reggi. I just got the impression he wanted to come home due to homesickness but was checking that our list was at least reasonable. For I remember reading earlier last year where he thought Collingwood were on the crest of something great, but at the time he moved he said that he thought he were similar to them in that we had good young players and were on the way up.
