    Goodes on Fitness

Great insight into a player's perspective. Goodesy basically says that we are the fittest team in the comp and doesn't come across at all arrogant.

?I reckon we ran them off their legs as we are the best team in the competition, I think, at scoring in the last quarter, and that is because of the fitness of the player group we?ve got and we share the load and that is credit to the 22 who play.?

Great article. You can't play top level footy if you're an unfit whale who chain-smokes.

I remember watching games last year thinking "These blokes are out of shape-too many nights at the Cross.". This year though-different story altogether.

I guess any coach that re-introduces the 100x100 metre sprint obviously has a strong emphasis on fitness.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

For anyone who's played the game, you should know how important fitness is, especially for the runners. When u just done have enough air left is when ur opponent gets the opportunities.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

I think we've always been pretty fit. We've always had a labour-intensive gameplan. But we're clearly "ahead" of most teams right now, as opposed to "up there with them".

I wonder what the major difference is? I know many of the players shed some kilos in the last two years to add a bit of speed, but I hear that Goodes has ADDED about 4!

Are the players ahead of where they've been in the past...or is it more to do with having fewer injuries...?
