than Matthews.

I'm no great fan of Ben's - his delay in disposal from a mark/free gives me the @@@@s, but he doe's a good job as a sweeper and can tag.

Warfe (your love child) is friggin' the worst disposal in the team.

Powell should be in the side in front of him

I don't think Warfe is setting the world on fire at the moment, by any stretch of the imagine but the reason I like him is, he has a real go, unlike Matthews who IMO doesn't get the hard footy. Warfe's disposal does let him down sometimes, but I think it's on par with matthews'.

The other reason I like him, is when the pressure is on, he has the ability to impose himself on a game of football, I don't think Matthews has that in his repertoire.

Matthews doesn't do that much wrong, I just don't think he adds anything to the side. You say he can tag, Roscoe, yet he is the most unaccountable footballer I've ever seen.

Warfe is no worldbeater, but better than Matthews for mine.

Are you really being serious about Mathews here? He's done some great stopping jobs in his time, particularly before Kirk stood up to the plate as the master tagger. He often gets a slightly larger, slower midfielder than Crouch, simply because he's not as fast but is taller. An important part of the midfield defensive unit, IMO.

If he's the most unaccountable footballer you've ever seen, I suspect you've not seen too many!

I also can't agree with the comment that he doesn't go in an get the hard footy. I've lost count of the number of times he goes into a contest with little regard for his personal safety, and he's copped a fair few knock-outs to boot.

Mathews is no superstar but he's good "ordinary" player and, at times, a very very good one. He does his job week in, week out with very little fuss or fanfare, and I fancy that Mr Roos would be more than happy with the way he's travelling at the moment.

Crouchy has been up and down this year. Has had some good games and some bad ones, but there has been more good than bad, and is shutting down the quick elusive forwards generally well in fixters absence and also adding some run to our game. Useful contributor without starring and is definately part of our 22. Very versatile.

for starters Mathews = ONE T!

there were two kicks in general play last night that i was astounded by, one was nathan brown's pass into the F50 hitting hahn(?) on the chest at full flight without breaking stride on a side lead and mathews kick that was almost a carbon copy of brown's on the chest of magic...

warfe's effort after darcy's OOF was apauling! there was so much space in front of the lead of the swans player and he managed to kick it right on the chest of the dog

while mathews may let himself down occasionally with his disposal (i cant recall too many this year), at least he hits the odd target, not the same u can say about warfe... definitely a spot for powell...

crouchy's effort last night was phenomonal (sp?), to keep brown to one goal is _______________(thats me being speechless!)

Warfe is pathetic, he tries his guts out but is way part his best footy, a spot that was a chance for development is being wasted on him.
Mathews his very slow and does hit the odd oppoonent on the chest but is not a very good player IMO.
Fosdike, he doesnt deserve the tag FEARless, as when he has the footy he is always wasting disposl when under any pressure. He can play well when the opposition is down, but when its needed he is as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
We dont develop some of the boys enough. What a waste of a night it was for Sunny, he would have been far better off playing a full game in ressies instead of 6 minutes before 3/4 time.

Well put motorace, it was a waste for Sunny. So much for Roos blooding new guys, Saturday night would have been a perfect chance to give Sunny a run.

My 2 cents: Matthews is good, Warfe was picking up his ordinary form until Saturday night, a big step backwards. I actually noticed Fosdike under a few packs which is good as I hardly notice Fosdike as it is.
