We've got the extra week to prepare for this one and I think that favours the away side to counter the home ground advantage .
    give it to the game

Good point cos. Plenty of time to think about this one. We can beat anyone. Sydney just has to remain confident and play the same hard attacking footy. Whether it be at the SCG or Footy Park Sydney can run any team into the ground.

Geez if we cant be a bit confident about our team now we never will be.

      Top four!!!

Tredrea will be a major concern with his marking ability and I hope Saddo is fit as we will need height in the backline .
Interesting thing about Tredrea is his ground and footwork have come up to another level this year as well, not unlike Hall for us.

Not sure of the value in Williams watching us at the SCG, we've shown we play a different game on the bigger grounds and will take that style to Footy Park for sure.

I doubt we will get away with the slower starts we've had in the last few games against Port either. Pretty much like the Saints game last week they'll have us 5 or 6 goals down not just two or three if we come out like that.

Just had quick glance over at thepowerfromport forum and there were a few comments that they believe they have the best defense on the league. Lets see how they go against a forward line as potent as ours!

Our backline aren't that bad either. We are in fact second in the league and has the best tagger in the game. Can't wait to see this one.

Yes, you guys can beat us. Sydney look bloody good at the moment.....however, I expect us to beat you by about 20 points. Only because it's at Footy Park. If it was in Sydney I'd probably tip you guys (as much as I'd hate to!). Should be a great game anyway & hopefully myself & the hubby will still be talking to each other after the match!

PS. Hope Poults has a good game!

You should've posted mate! We don't mind supporters from other clubs posting on our board....there were certainly plenty of Collingwood & Freo supporters posting recently. Strangely, most of them disappeared after we'd played them......

I think Port by 20pts seems the most realistic estimate. Their forward line, ruck division and midfield certainly look top rate. Their back line is also pretty good - Wanganeen, Wakelin, Hardwick.

Should be an interesting test for us.

As posted elsewhere, our biggest danger is a 20-30 minute lapse in concentration, which has happened to us in many games.
