    Is it just me

Is it just me, maybe I miss the times they are on, never seem to see the swans on anything,, eg fox footy news , white line fever even the supporter ring in,,,, nothing

I mean we have had a few good weeks lately,,, not much seems to be said about that,,,,, maybe I am just too one eyed.

Its not just you. Melbourne media focuses on Melbourne teams, and Sydney media follows the NRL, especially around State of Origin Time. We are stuck in no mans land.

We never see a Sydney coach interviewed. I remember Eade was on Talking footy once. ONCE in 6 years.

Plugger was on the NRL footy show once, and Dale Lewis appears intermittently on "The Fat"

This year has been the best so far. But only if you're lucky enough to have foxtel.

We've had Tiger "On the Couch" for a whole hour, and N.Davis on whiteline. That's about as many appearances as I can remember in the last few years!

(and as many as I expect unless we make it to the Prelims and beyond...)

      (if then!)

wallsy always gives a plug on "On The Couch", i love that show... hey wallsy the only thing that sh.its me about it is sh.ite mike and "well we dont see them that much" when referring to interstate sides... what a PATHETIC excuse, surely he has FFC and can watch them... if not, as an AFL journalist youd think itd be a part of your job to watch a tape of all the games on the weekend... i come pretty close to...

always get the post match interviews on the winners, little nicky on WLF... that suits me just fine

Wallsy and Gerard love talking about the Swans. On the Couch are really on the Sydney bandwagon at the moment as they are finding it exciting footy to watch. Bruce and Tim tried with Talking Footy but Cowface switches it onto Richmond all the time, or how some board is going to collapse, or how much someone is getting paid, or some other crap.

What a great job Mike has. If I had his job I'd go to nearly every game and tape all of them so I could watch each one 2-3 times each week. They said the other year that his contract with the Herald Sun is $250K pa - not a bad gig getting paid that much to watch, talk and write footy!!

Melbourne media is hardly going to focus on Sydney when Melbourne teams are going to sell more papers, and also cater for a far larger audience in Melbourne. That said, from what I've seen and heard we do get some coverage.

Yeh an even then he was brought on at the last minute to replace someone who couldnt make it, the interview went for about half the time an interview with the coach usually does, and it wasnt done in person.

With Talking footy have you noticed that they mostly talk about football politics, not about football as such. It's so boring and they hardley ever mention the Swans at all.

On the couch is a great show and I hope they get Paul Roos on the show sometime this year.
