Bozo doesn't have us in the 8 for the end of this season!

There are times when I see Melbourne critics avoiding us, not giving us a chance and I am pretty sure it is because they just don't like us. I don't think it is because they don't rate us, I think it is because they don't want us!

Last night on Fox League Teams, Huddo, Greeney and Mike all had us in their Top 5. For some regrettable reason Barnsey did not have us in his Top 8, even though we hammered his precious Dons a fortnight ago.

Now I know people like Barnsey think we play good footy and that we have some great things boiling away up here, but it seems that he just wishes to deny us respect!

We constantly get this from certain "media personalities" who just treat us like scotch mist when it comes to picking best players in the comp or how we're likely to fair at the season's end. I think the best way to apply the egg to the face of these people is with finals success, I look forward to the day!

I wouldn't stress about it too much, just wait and see how he is when the Bummers don't even make the finals . Just let us be the stealth team of the year.

I agree let's see egg on Barnes face at the endc of the season. I feel myself Barnes shouldn't be allowed to make comments on team selection or tipping because of his close connection with a team. Green is bad enough but Barnes is always controversial and against us always.

Barnes is no expert. His opinion is just that. His opinion. I don't rate his opinion any higher than that of anyone Sam Newman might interview on 'street talk'. These guys are paid to fill 'airtime' so TV producers can sell advertising.

Looking at the fixture I reckon the Swans will have a tougher run home than the first half but that we will finish in the eight but not the top four. That is my opinion but I wouldn't expect you to rate that opinion higher than your own.

The real test of opinions is the ladder positions at the end of season.

I am quite enjoying seeing all those 'experts' who thought we would finish on the bottom, 'eat crow'.

I too think we will finish in the lower half of the eight, however the next fortnight Vs the eagles and port will have a big say in the matter. If we win both, I will be forced to change my opinion and tip a top 4 finish to be definately on the cards. If we win one and lose one I reckon we will finish 5-6 and lose both 7-8.

The next three matches will give us an idea of where we stand. Port is the team to beat ATM, the Eagles not far behind. Collingwood are overrated this season and we caught Brisbane in a similar way to how the Kangas caught us. If we can get two out of three for the next three (add St Kilda to Port and WC), we will end up top four; otherwise lower four of the eight. But considering what many people thought at the beginning of the season, we will have done bloody well.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Lets face it John Barnes is not over endowed with that stuff that intelligent people are made of. The grey matter between the ears.

I'd only be worried if he tipped us to MAKE the eight .
