    i'm dreaming

i'm dreaming sydney beat port then weagles and top the ladder. Is this possible? we beat the pies then lions when they were the top teams. Can we do it again? Would we be premiership fav then?

    Just don't wake me up...

It's possible and I think we can do it, but time will tell. Best that we don't get our hope up too soon, things could still go wrong

Even with those two wins we would still be half a game behind Brisbane so would need either someone else to beat them or do it ourselves in Round 20 at the Gabba.

Beating Port next week would most likely still leave us behind them on percentage (unless the win is big enough, 21 goals to 15 goals would be enough). Of course, percentage can be gained/lost in other games not just the head to head.

I've been having that same dream for a while now RA

I'm just happy to plod along. We're now in the enviable situation of simply needing to win... and we'll eventually get to top. We should literally take it one game at a time.
        We hate Anthony Rocca
        We hate Shannon Grant too
        We hate scumbag Gaspar
        But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

          Whether we win or lose....

Hasn't the ride so far been fun?

Take each game as it comes..... without all the post - game shredding of the players.....that'd be nice.

The Red and White have triumphed already, with a new, exciting team that is becoming the envy of other clubs. The coaching staff obviously know what they're doing. The Swans have been INSPIRING in 2003, and isn't that a triumph of its own?

          Go Swannies!

I am sorry if my eternal optimism drives you spare. And that I find other things interesting in my enjoyment of footy than you. What can I say? Kiss my rosey red and white!

Hate to say it, i reckon we'll lost at least one.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

I'd like to hold that thought in case things go pear shaped over the next few weeks. The next two games - and even the one after that - are winnable but also losable. If they win at least one of the next two and kick on from there it will be marvellous. But if they don't we should still remember that the team has achieved more this year already than we expected - and I'm not just talking wins, but the style, panache, exuberance and heart they've shown so far. I know being an honourable finalist isn't what we strive for but given expectations a few short weeks ago it won't be a bad achievement. I'd hate to see us all forget it if we are disappointed from here on.

I know this sounds pessimistic - I reckon they can win against Port and/or the Wet Toast. Guess I'd rather try to put it all into perspective ahead of time, just in case...

Sorry to break it to you mate, but he is not dreaming.

Get on the swans bandwagon, we CAN beat Port and WILL beat the eagles.
